Day 123.

My style does not even begin to compare to that of Blake Lively’s but sometimes it’s fun to try and channel one of your favorite style icons, by using pieces you already have in your closet. This is the belted look I was describing yesterday, and since my belt is shorter I couldn’t pull off quite the same effect, but now it’s definitely a look I’m going to try more often! I like the idea of mixing casual and dressy; she brought in some glitz with her skirt/shorts (can’t quite tell), and I brought in my own sparkle with my glittered tights.

Day 122.

Dressing down this cupcake style dress, with a cognac belt and flats, and a denim jacket. I was inspired to just knot my belt and let it hang, instead of belting it, based on a photo of Blake Lively on the red carpet.

Day 121.

Casual walk through the harbor, so I definitely needed my boat shoes and of course a fedora to block the sun. A neon colored v-neck and homemade cut off shorts, and I was ready for a morning stroll.

Don't be afraid to mix patterns once in a while especially with bright colors. Not everything has to match exactly to compliment each other. Stripes, polka dots, floral, tribal, have fun trying different pieces together!

Day 119.

Strapless dresses and tops really aren't my favorite pieces, they're adorable, but I don't personally feel comfortable in them; I'm always pulling up my top and fidgeting, so no thank you. But this dress/skirt (Day 100.) is super cute, and I really wanted to wear so to break up the black and white I wore a tight fitting hot pink tee underneath. Numerous necklaces broke up all the stripes, and the open toe booties added a little spunk!

Day 118.

Lengthen those legs by pairing some wedges with your favorite pair of jeans! An outfit can still look fabulous, without putting much effort into it, I just threw on a sweater today, but the right accessories took it up a notch, a few bangles, and a colored fedora completed a comfortable summer look.

A little bundled up for the first day of summer, but this is my perfect outfit. Wearing some of my favorite pieces together, what more could you want; boots, scarf, leggings; at least I wore a lightweight scarf :)

Day 116.

Today's look was entirely random, but while mixing and matching random articles of clothing, I discovered that I really liked these gray skinny jeans with these booties. The tough part came after, trying to find something to go match. With the gray cardigan added on, there was a lot of gray so I needed color, and I chose this top, because not only is it teal, it's slightly sheer, with polka dots. The fringed necklace breaks it all up because of the texture.

Day 115.

Casual weekend continues, as well as sadly another trip to the mall. What mall closes at 7p on a Saturday? Ours does! If anyone knows where to get a basic sweatshirt like this Zine one please let me know, because I'm obsessed and have yet to find something just like it!

Day 114.

Running errands, aka going to the mall, meant throwing on something comfortable and easy to manage, just in case I decided to try something on. I really like this peasant top, because of the way it lays, it could be flattering on just about anybody. I threw on a simple pendant, just for something extra, and my simple look was complete.

Today was extremely gloomy, yet again; bummer San Clemente, and I just couldn't stay away from my leather jacket and combat boots. The necklace was a pretty random addition to this edgy look, since it is more bohemian, but the bronze/gold hardware on my jacket matched it, and it brought a slight pop of color.

Day 112.

Recovering from a cold meant being warm and cozy today, therefore I piled on a big heavy sweater and an infinity scarf. There is gold threading in the scarf so I wore gold flip flops to bring out a little sparkle!

Day 111.

I love days like today, when I pop out of bed with an outfit in mind, and once I put it on it looks RIDICULOUS..but then I pull together something totally random and different, and love the way it turns out.  I will say halfway through the day I started to feel a little less high fashion, and a little more 'Little House on the Prairie' but I for the most part I like this outfit. My skirt is actually a dress that I folded down, then tucked my tank top and cardigan into it. Today I just wore gladiator sandals, but to take this outfit one step further I wouldn't definitely put on a pair of wedges.

Day 110.

Today's outfit may be one of my favorites lately; it's nice to be able to wear my denim jacket with pants instead of a dress or skirt, and since I can't really pair it with jeans, I was excited to finally realize it could look cute with cargos. It's difficult to tell, but I added some glitz with this all over sequin tank top, which I tucked in and paired with this under five dollar Forever 21 belt.

Day 109.

Sometimes going back to basics is one of the best looks. Nothing is more comfortable than a flannel and some skinny jeans. I changed it up a little bit wearing a flannel that cinches under the bustline, and is cut a little longer. It just felt right to pair this look with some basic flip flops.

Day 108.

This blog is all about looking fashionable at an affordable price, but every once in a while it's okay to splurge. Well, I was in definite need of some new tennis shoes, so I went a little crazy, but no worries I didn't buy without the help of a coupon! Keep your eyes peeled for the best deals, and if you have shops you like to frequent, sign up for their emails, because you'll be notified when all sales and specials are happening! Today I went for a thirteen mile bike ride with my sister, so I needed to wear some sweats; when the sun came out I ditched the hoodie and kept comfortable in a super stretch Tresics tee.

Unless you're investing in high end jewelry, Forever 21 is one of the best places to buy accessories. Jewelry, headbands, scarfs, etc., Forever 21 has a great variety of it all, for extremely low prices. Now obviously there jewelry isn't the best of the best, but it's cute, and none of the pieces I have, have ever broken.

Day 106.

I was honestly so tired this morning from a late night at the circus, that all I could think about when I woke up was how I wanted to be comfy in my moccasins at work. It's pretty obvious that I'm OBSESSED with these cropped, loose sweaters, so when I found this one last night for ten dollars I had to have it, in two colors! :) It was a last minute idea to add the headband, and the ring to give me a tribal look.

Gosh I love me some socks with them sandals! I absolutely love this look, but I know some may be pretty skeptical about it. I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity, and outfit to rock colored socks with my sandals, and the circus seemed like the perfect time to get a little crazy and bright.

Day 104.

This dress is a little more dressy than something I would normally wear on a regular work day, but I have been waiting to blog about it since Easter, since I made it myself! This was my first MAJOR project, and I made it for my sister for Easter Sunday. I'm totally into anything floral, so what better than a belted frock. To make this look more casual I would wear it without the cardigan, but I messed up sewing the neckline, so there is some noticeable raw edges!

Lately I just can't get enough of my denim jacket, let alone maxi dresses and skirts. I think the pair is my favorite style this season, and I try to mix and match all my pieces as much as I can, because if I could I would wear something like this everyday!

Breakfast at the pier with some of my favorite people, called for a casual look. It was a little chilly out this morning, especially with the ocean breeze so I just opted for a tank with jeans, covered by an oversized cardigan.

One hundred days!! Yay! I feel very accomplished, blogging about what I'm wearing everyday has been helping me be more creative with my clothes and enjoy getting dressed everyday!! I really love today's outfit, a striped maxi skirt that I wore high up, paired with a wife beater. Simple and comfortable, yet I love the overall look!

Fun, colorful, lightweight skirts are perfect for Spring. You can either dress them up with a tank and wedges or keep it casual with sandals and a tee. I paired mine with a denim jacket and pendant necklace.

Day 99.

This is not what I wore to the office today, though at my job it wouldn't be strange if I did, but I came home from work and changed into this, to walk to grab a taco for dinner. These TOMS are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own and perfect for walking a couple blocks for some grub.

Felt like I could be walking on the streets of Morocco today. You've seen all of these pieces before, but sometimes throwing random items together make a great look, and I have to say I like how this turned out. I was originally going to wear these pants at full length (see Day 69.) but I think there is something really appealing about wearing heels when your ankles show, so I rolled my pants.

Day 96.

Just got these Sanuk Yoga Mat sandals for a present from my boyfriend Andrew's mother, and they are the greatest shoes I have ever worn. They are so comfortable, it's the only pair of shoes I ever want to wear! Basically today I just had to find an outfit to match these shoes, so I went with an embellished tank with a wife beater underneath and added some bling with my new Coach bracelets, that I got for only thirty-four dollars on a clearance sale on Coach's website!
