Day 322.

So Banana Republic started their huge, spring sale last week, and I ran away with a couple great sweaters to pack for Seattle. The one I'm wearing I absolutely love, because yes it's navy, and yes it's striped, but also the bronze detailing around the wrists and neckline. It makes it a little more chic, and I of course like anything that sparkles!

Day 322.
Banana Republic Sweater $16, Express Ripped Skinnies $40, Old Navy Booties $22, H&M Starfish Ring $4, Other Ring about $6

Day 321.

I'm loving this midi length skirt look! I think it's very flattering on my legs, showing just enough they look long and lean, but not too much where it could become inappropriate for work. The pleats make me feel pretty and girly, making me want to spin around all day! The color and polka dots are fun for summer, and I have been seeing polka dots everywhere! Loving the trend!

Day 321.
H&M Cardigan $0; Borrowed from sister, Tresics White Tee $6, Forever 21 Polka Dot Skirt $23, American Eagle Bead Necklace $7, MIA Wedges $19

Day 320.

People usually think of plaid as being super casual and scrubby. A little bit lumberjack a little bit hoedown. Well who says we can't dress plaid up a little bit? This look is still casual yes, but with some pumps and a few accessories it's still appropriate for the office.

Day 320.
American Eagle Plaid Shirt $20, Banana Republic Skinnies $45, Dolce Vita Nude Pumps $28, Wet Seal Beads Necklace $8, H&M Bracelets about $4

Day 319.

So well all know how much I like layering, probably because I'm always cold, but whatever the reason there are only so many options. Getting dressed yesterday I found myself tired and bored with my usual top layers, oversized cream cardigan, military jacket, my completely over played leather jacket. It was then I realized I needed to get more creative. Behold the button down. I love basic button down shirts, but sometimes I don't like the way they fit me, because of my bust. I honestly feel like a linebacker somedays, like I'm wearing shoulder pads! Anyways, they make for a perfect summertime jacket. Especially this one, because it's longer, and it has sleeves that can be worn both short and long. I was feeling like a true Southern Californian yesterday.

Day 319.
Express Button Down $30, Express Crochet Tank $19, Forever 21 Pink Skinnies $25, Minnetonka Mocassins $35; Giftcard, Jason Wu for Target Straw Satchel $27, Leaf Necklace $2; eBay, Bracelets a variety of gifts and H&M delights $5

Day 318.

Love shines. This is basically a case of the monday's outfit, whatever that means. Its been rather chilly and our house is especially cold, so I really just wanted to bundle up! I like this olive green color with the plum purple, they compliment each other well. Reminding me of grapes, on a vine, in a vineyard, perhaps in Italy. Anyways I was on my own for pictures today, good thing I'm taking a fashion photography class starting tonight. I obviously need some pointers! Have a great night everybody. :D

Day 318.
Old Navy Tank $9, Black Poppy Military Jacket $17, Banana Republic Skinnies $45, Gap Infinity Scarf $10, Barefoot Boots $40

Day 317.

So a few girls at school had mentioned at various times a boutique in Laguna called LF. So when my friend Casey and I spent some time in Laguna Beach the other day I couldn't resist going in. I was more than pleasantly surprised, not only is the boutique the epitome of my style, but that day they were having a HUGE sale. Almost everything was $30 or less, and I snagged the beautiful Dolce Vita nude pumps for an awesome $28. Which are practically a closet staple item, because they're elegant and going with EVERYTHING! Not too bad, I'll definitely be going back!

Day 317.
H&M Top $5, Kirra Cardigan $14, Express Boyfriend Jeans $12, Geometric Necklace $3, Dolce Vita Nude Pumps $28, Jason Wu for Target Straw Satchel $27

Day 316. Fashion Show Recap

Well, I went to my first ever runway show! It was such a great experience, and I can't wait til the next time I get this opportunity again. I'll admit I was a little shy, and didn't network too much before the show started, I was just taking it all in, it was like a warm up round for me. Seeing clothes from Betsey Johnson walking down the runway was like a dream come true, everything is so fun, and girly! We also got to see collections by two up and coming designers Dina Bar-El and Vilorija!

Day 315.

One of my best friends from Ohio has been visiting this week, and we spent a great afternoon wandering through Laguna. At the end of the our adventures we went up to the top of the mountain called, 'The Top of the World,' and enjoyed taking in the sights. The scenery fit perfectly with my western inspired look.
I'm so excited to have finally gotten some new moccasins. They were quite a steal, because I bought them not only on sale, but also with an American Eagle gift card I won from a contest through Pose. My kind of shopping. ;D

Day 314.

Well I'm not sure what it is about my entire family telling me they can't believe this is what I'm wearing, because I look like a little boy, that makes me like this look even more. It's simple, comfortable, and very casual, but it's carried out head to toe and I love it. The thing about this outfit is, even though I'm wearing oversized, lumberjackish prints it still looks like I put an effort into what I'm wearing. Therefore making me look not entirely sloppy. I almost fainted when I found these High Top Sperry's on a sale rack at Macy's for like a fourth of the original price, when to check out and was given an additional 25% off. Thanks ya'll it was like I was meant to have them. Officially the comfiest shoes I have ever worn.

Day 314.
Plaid Shirt $0; Boyfriend's closet, Aeropostale Puffer Vest approximately $25; about 6 years old, Banana Republic Skinnies $45, Sperry's High Tops $22; SCORE!

Day 313.

So this is not what I left the house in this morning. I had on a SWEATER and a LEATHER JACKET; it was 80 degrees out. Since my sister and I had already packed our lunches to eat down by the water, I ran to the nearest surf shop and grabbed a tank. It seemed smart so I could fully enjoy the warm sun on my skin, as well as not die from heat exhaustion. I thought I really liked this mullet tank, until I saw these pictures of myself. I think I'm a little too curvy for it, because I don't like the way it lays over my behind, and doesn't fall down smooth and straight. Other than on myself, I think the shape is great for those who can pull it off!

Day 313.
RVCA Mullet Tank $21, Banana Republic Skinnies $45, Black Poppy Leopard Flats $6.50, Geometric Necklace $3

Day 312.

I always seem to like my outfits best when I don't stop adding more things. Today I was a beautiful day, and I had quite a California summer feeling, butttttttt I could not figure out what to wear. Even worse than that once I half decided, (picked out a skirt) I couldn't find a top, that I haven't worn out or that I even liked! Don't worry kiddies, I opted to wear this dress as my top instead!! And I loved it! This dress has such great colors, and the paisley design that I'm totally into these days is really fun! Also the neckline and buttons make it very flattering as just a top. Let's get back to basics ya'll and start being a little more creative with what we got!

Day 312.
Juicy Couture Dress $20; Thrifted, Express Denim Jacket $25, Kirra Maxi Skirt $14, No Boundaries Hat $8, Dolce Vita Gladiators $40, RayBan Sunglasses $0; Gift

Day 311.

I couldn't be more thrilled to be attending my first runway show EVER next Friday during Los Angeles Fashion Week. Even just starting at a smaller show, (which supposedly Betsey Johnson will be at!) is extremely exciting for me. I may finally start to become part of the LA based blogger network. I feel like so much has happened in the past year, since I began this blog, and I've grown so much as a person and blogger! I'm excited for what the rest of the year will bring, but can't wait til Friday! The next question is what will I wear?!

Day 311.
Tresics Tee $6, WetSeal Cardigan $12, Banana Republic Crops $18, Geometric Necklace $3; See similar House of Harlow one here,Betsey Johnson Glitteratti Bag $0; Gift, Rayban Wayfarers $0; Gift

Day 310.

About two weeks ago ModCloth did something fun, and sold a 'stylish surprise' for only $15. You told them your size and how many surprises you wanted and they send you something fun! For only $15 its totally worth it, even just for the fun factor. It ranged from blouses to dresses, which are both things they sell for way over that price. It's fun because it's like getting a present, since you have no idea what you'll receive! I got this fun dress! It's normally not something I would pick out for myself, because I basically steer clear of anything strapless but I think it's cute! And it'll be great for beach season!

Day 310.
ModCloth Dress $15, Forever 21 Leather Jacket $0; Gift, Geometric Necklace $3; eBay, Madden Girl Booties $35

Day 309.

Still in a casual mood, the greatest things happened Saturday. I was sitting in my morning sewing class, and all of a sudden I got a voicemail telling me I didn't have to go into work that night! WooHoo! I haven't had a Saturday night off in weeks, and to get one without even asking for it was a real treat! So, after changing out of my what were to be work clothes, this is what I decided to wear. I got to spend my evening having dinner and hanging out with great friends and family, just the sort of relaxing evening I needed!

Day 309.
Old Navy Lace Tee $6, Old Navy Boyfriend Cardigan $12, Aerie Print Scarf $9, Banana Republic Skinnies $45, Navy Converse All-Stars $30, RayBan Sunglasses $0; Gift, Houndstooth Messenger Bag about $25; Made by Me
