Tips for Transitioning.

Tips for Transitioning.

The Fall transition is always, well, a transition. You're in between seasons and if your climate is anything like that of ours here in Los Angeles, then even though it's officially Fall,  the weather forecasts predict temps in the triple digits for the upcoming weekend. Yikes! If you're like me, you're so ready for all your favorite Fall fashions but are having trouble staying cool wearing them. A couple tips for looking Fall while staying cool.

1. Add an extra layer - even if you're still rocking summer styles like this lightweight little black dress I'm wearing, add an additional and equally cool layer - maybe something sheer or something sleeveless.

2. Swap your footwear - aside from coats and sweaters, shoes are a major component of a Fall wardrobe and even though it may be too hot for cashmere and shearling you can still don a great t-shirt and jeans and stay cool while wearing some killer ankle boots. This season along with my favorite boots I am loving loafers and slippers for basically every occasion (also a great option if you're on your feet all day).

3. Rock Fall colors - finally, even if you're not wearing the heaviest of Fall clothing work your wardrobe to more Fall hues, rich jewel tones, cool neutrals and luxe monochromatic looks, take a break from your extra bold neons and Summer hues and even if you can't see them you'll feel like the leaves are changing!
