Is Fast Fashion Slowing Down?
We're well into a new month and so far it seems like this year is already starting to fly by. The past few weeks especially I've been on the go non-stop and have been using all of my free time to plan Andrew and my's upcoming road trip to Maine (that is already less than a month away). I haven't been sharing as many outfits with you all because A. the weather here is all over the place and as much as I want to be ready for Spring it's for the most part too cold to wear Spring styles let alone take time to shoot them during my day. And B. I have seriously slowed down by clothing shopping in preparation for our vacation so just haven't had as much new stuff to share with you.
That is sort of what's got me thinking about fast fashion; for me personally I feel over the last 9 months or so I've definitely slowed down my fast fashion urges, and desire to buy super trendy wear now pieces. As of late I spend a lot more time mulling over a purchase before committing, and I don't know if it's just me but I feel others have too? What do you think, is fast fashion fazing out, are we all more enticed to buy quality, investment pieces we can transition over time and get way more use out of? Would love to hear your thoughts below!
For today's real life scenario this is what I wore; a mash up of some of my favorite pieces new and old, like this Cleobella clutch I've had for over two years and is still my all time favorite bag and these new Soludos ankle boots (which are sold out in solid but still available in embroidered here) which I seem to be wearing almost everyday. These boots are so stinking comfortable, comfortable enough that I wore them to walk a mile to work today and then wear all day at work, and let's be honest still have them on at this very moment. There isn't anything extremely exciting about this outfit, or way out of the norm, or super trendy, but it's real life, these are pieces I love, have invested in and WANT to wear more than just one time.
