Ready for Fall? Check.
There’s a really cool thing happening in fashion right now that’s a mix between anything goes and embracing minimalism. We all know that fashion is a continuous cycle and time and time again a previous decade makes its’ way to the frontline of runways and street style alike. But right now it’s all coming back at once and the fashion world is embracing styles from the 70s, 80s and 90s, you name it, all at once, and mixing them together. At a time when we’re constantly hearing the phrase ‘live authentically’ I can’t think of a more appropriate time to really embrace styles you believe in and pieces you feel most comfortable in. You’ve all known for some time now that I’m a big fan of layers and of course a great borrowed from the boys look, so am totally embracing the menswear trends that are leading us into Fall. Give me all the checked blazers and jackets you can find, maybe a nod to a shoulder pad here and there and all the loafers and oxfords you can get your hands on. This checkered jacket from Anthropologie has been sitting in my closet for weeks, the first real Fall piece I’ve purchased this year and I can’t wait til temps cool down so I can wear it on repeat. With this jacket alone I feel ready for Fall!
