What I'm Thinking in Life & Style for 2020.

What I'm Thinking in Life & Style for 2020.

Happy New Year friends! Every year I find myself trying to organize all my thoughts at the beginning of the year and share some enlightening feels with you all. Typically it’s happens much earlier in January, but alas, here we are, over three weeks in, and I’m finally wrapping my head around how I’m feeling about 2020.

I think this post has taken me so long to get around to because I’ve felt like I need to start us off with some profound insight into what this year will bring. After mulling this over for literally weeks, I realized I didn’t have a new years epiphany, and while the start of a new year brings feelings of hope and ambition I have no plans to drastically change my lifestyle.

One of the first couple of days of January, Andrew and I sat and talked about our goals for the year, big and and small, and for maybe one of the first years they all seem 100% attainable and the two of us are so aligned for what we want this year to bring us and our little family. I don’t really believe in resolutions, but I do believe in showing yourself a little grace, and being okay with taking a moment to reset and refocus on where you want your journey to take you.

I’m excited about 2020 for many reasons; I love the place I’m at with work right now, while it’s kept me away from having the energy to post on here as much as I think I should, it’s a new challenge everyday and I’m so excited to see how my role continues to develop throughout the year. 2020 is going to bring lots of travel, some is already planned, Nashville this weekend, New York next weekend, Italy for 10 days with Andrew for our wedding anniversary in May, and some I know will just sporadically come in to fruition. I can feel our sense of adventure being stronger than ever and I’m excited to see where else our travels lead. And, I’m also excited to see where my vintage resale boutique takes me this year. 2019 was the year of getting out of my comfort zone and finding my love for thrift and recycled fashion, organizing my vintage clothes and trying to start selling some pieces on my Poshmark. I’m eager and excited to see how this venture can grow this year and how I can deepen my dedication to a more sustainable fashion cycle and lifestyle.

I hope you’re along for the ride in 2020 and I hope to bring you even a small inkling of inspiration over this next year. Thank you for continuing along on my journey and thanking you for letting me take it one fashionable day at a time. xx, Kirby
