Day 360.

This summer is going to be all about texture! I'm totally still going to be mixing tons of prints, but texturized pieces like, crochet, embroidery, beading and silk/chiffons will be making their way into my closet. I feel adding texture to an outfit really makes it come alive; it makes the look more three dimensional if you will. This is just me taking a step in that direction, with this crocheted top accented with a chunky metal necklace and silk top.

Day 359.

Threw on some weekend clothes for a quick lunch with my sister Elise on Saturday. I didn't really plan on looking special, but I like the sleekness the look ended up having. The black cami and cardigan contrasted great with the freshness from the popping white of my scarf. A perfect go-to for a hot day, because this cardigan is so lightweight, it's like a t-shirt. Such an easy look to accomplish!

Mmm Panera, not sure if the food is as
good as the memories; first job
Day 359.

Day 358.

I guess the real question comes down to, is it appropriate to wear tights in spring and summer? I opted for tights, because the dress is shorter, and my nice, pale legs just aren't ready for that kind of open air commitment to everyone I see each day. Also, it was irregularly gloomy this day, so if I hadn't had tights on I would have been freezing! The colors are a little deep and rich for spring, but the delicate lace does help brighten up the look. Well, talk amongst yourselves and decide how much of a faux paus this is!

Day 358.
Black Poppy Military Jacket $17, Coincidence & Chance Lace Dress $20, Xhileration Orange Tights $1.50, Forever 21 Oxfords $12, Forever 21 Owl Pendant $6.80

Day 357.

So here I am channeling my inner Frankenstein; a little menswear accompanied by a pair of platforms to tower over everyone! Slightly delusional, even with a three inch height lift I'm still only taller than my sister. I like taking menswear looks and making them more feminine, yes I'm wearing a collared shirt, but notice how it's pink, and oh so sweetly polka dotted. And straying away from the slightly predictable oxfords I chose sandals with height,
with pink toe polish.

Day 357.
Heritage 1981 Sweater $11, Forever 21 Polka Dot Top $17, Banana Republic Pleated Slacks $22, We Who See Platforms $10

Day 356.

Shopping in my boyfriend's closet. Well, more like finding old clothes of his that I shrunk, hidden in a goodwill box after 4 months. Behold my Travis Matthew golf cardigan! One of Andrew's favorites that I accidentally shrunk in the wash months ago, seemed in way too good of condition when I was spring cleaning. It's so perfect for me now, you'd think I shrunk it on purpose! ;)

Getting back into the grind of working full time, I couldn't quite decide what to wear yesterday, and for some reason dressing up a graphic tee seemed appropriate enough. Adding a simple accessory and some pumps took this look from scrubby to pretty shabby.

Day 356.
