The Slip Dress.

At the end of last week I jumped on the bandwagon and tried this seen everywhere trend, the layered slip dress. Since summer celebs and street style stars across the globe have been layering their slip dresses over tees and turtlenecks for every occasion; I couldn't help myself but to also try this retro style revamped and borrowed from the 90s. To give it more of a Fall vibe, I opted for s lightly metallic turtleneck and chose a velvet slip dress, which also ties back to the major velvet trend happening this season. I'm sure to be seen wearing this look again, maybe paired back with some sneakers for the weekend or some over the knee boots and a longer coat for a night out. Are you ready to bring back the nineties and try this trend?

Happy Combo.

A couple weeks ago on our road trip to Nevada, we stopped by the Primm Valley outlets and my sister and I stepped foot in a Hollister for the first time in I'd say over 7 years. Much to my surprise they barely had their signature bird logo or Hollister written on anything and even more surprising was the ridiculously affordable prices of things. I found this lightweight cowl neck top and utility skirt for under $20 total and thought they'd be the perfect combo for a I want to look Fall but its 90 degrees out look. They paired really well with these lace up over the knee boots, for an any occasion, earth toned look. Moral of the story, next time you pass a Hollister outlet, don't just walk right by! Have a great weekend everyone!

Statement Coat.

I have been waiting weeks to wear this palm tree printed Zara coat since I scooped it up at one of their recent sales. I am all about adding one or two statement coats to your wardrobe this season because they add a new versatility to your wardrobe. Instead of worrying about constantly looking fresh with your outfit underneath your outerwear, this year keep your base layers neutral and simple and have some fun with your coat and accessories!

Classically Mismatched.

One of the main things I love about this look is how easy it is to execute. It may seem a little funky and maybe a little too fashion forward for your comfort zone, with the colors and prints, but in reality this is a very classic outfit. Simple silky blouse, full skirt and ankle boots; all I did was threw in a little print mixing and voila! I love a printed shoe to add something special to a look, we can all do matchy matchy - so why not take a step on the wild side and do mismatchy. Try a little something funky with your style this week!
